A great life...like a great website...is the result of many people. I thank God for mine. I thank the Founders and people of America for giving me the great passion of my life: seeing, understanding and one day shaping the United States.

I thank my late mother for giving me life and my father for teaching me to think politically and learn geography. I thank the state of Minnesota for endless adventures and my upbringing. I thank lifelong family friend Will Sweney for his patronage and parenthood of a child from a troubled home. I thank my sisters especially Rebecca for their love and my brother Michael for being who he is. I thank my Aunt Carole for her support and the Jesuits at Georgetown for teaching me that contemplation requires action. I thank the Minnesota Boys State program for giving me my first and favorite platform to speak. I thank the four great Js of my early love life: Jessica Ann Peterson, Jane Elizabeth Maschka, Jolene Marie Dickerman and Jennifer Louise Lyons. Their names have probably changed....but their memories in the heart of the blue-eyed dreamer will always stay.

I thank the Arab Princess and lifelong checkmate Mona Askalani Khan for her support and honesty!
